Student Competition Award:
As announced in February this year, OCEA will have student competition awards starting from this symposium. The purpose of this program is to encourage young Entomologists to participate in OCEA activities and to enhance their enthusiasm in Entomological profession. Three awards will be given during 2006 annual meeting: first place, second place, and third place. Each receiver will receive a certificate (see attachment of one sample certificate) plus $100, $75, and $50, respectively.
To participate in this competition, please email the following information to Dr. Ming-Shun Chen at mchen@ksu.edu: Title, Abstract (less than 500 words), and a Poster to present your research result, by 5:00 pm, Tuesday, December 5, 2006. All materials will be reviewed by a panel of five judges and the results will be announced at the OCEA symposium along with the awards. 3. Up-Coming OCEA Annual Meeting:
As the ESA annual meeting approaches, we will soon be able to get together again in Indianapolis.
