Like several of the other notes I saw, we have been in
the eaves of our home. I have tried unsuccessfully to get rid of them. The area
is visiable and reachable from a 2nd story window. Does anyone have any suggestions
as to how to make them leave? Killing them IS an option also.Thank you.

greetings from gremany, fellow apiologist! things are
looking pretty gruesome here in germany, this year: 30-50% loss of hives. (varoa
+ god-awful weather)hope you guys back in the states have better luck! btw/fyi:
all the "young-beekeepers", the green-horns, had a 100% survival rate. :) (http://www.bee-info.com/
is actually from a buddy of mine... but what-the-heck i contributed to that site.)

My father has 20+ years'experience in beekeeping(eastern
bee).He has invented some kinds of frame and beehive for the comb honey producing
and enhance the honey productions by less manpower. If anyone is interested
please contact me. It is suitable for the western bees too although it has not
been used on the western bee yet.

Frankly, this is the most informative site on the biology of bees. I have taught beekeeping at university for seven years now. this is the site to visit now for photos of different bees, but most especially for students to find easily presented bee knowledge. Please go on!!

I'm hoping somebody could identify a strange bee type bug for me. It seemed to be half hummingbird/half bee. It had a body about 2 inches long - 3/4's yellow towards the head and 1/4 dark brown bottom. One solid body oval in shape. It had long antennae and a long "tongue sucker" to extract the pollen from my impatients flowers. It never landed but used it's wings to fly from flower to flower like a hummingbird. Very quiet and not reactive when my son and I came in for a close look. Love your site but was unable to identify it. We live in Ontario, Canada just north of Toronto. Thanks!!

Hello, I am a community development worker in India. We help tribal populations in the Himalayas expand their economy through beekeeping. I would like to add one or two of your many excellent photographs to our website, with your permission. I have already put your site onto our links because it is so informative. I have not found such good pictures of Apis Dorsata, Apis Cerana, or Apis Florea anywhere. Thanks for that, and please let me know about using your pictures, Perry

I happened to visit your sitecyberbee.msu.edu'. I understand that these pages have been collated as a portal for honey bee related information, which include honey bee biology, research and beekeeping. The content of your site is fabulous. The pages are of immense use. I appreciate the fact that you have made a significant effort to provide a lot of relevant information about your beekeeping in the site.
I visited quite a lot of sites, and would like to kindly recommend a professional makeover for your entire web site (http://www.electro-fix.com/ ). I work at ADDR.com, and would like to offer you to redesign your complete web site absolutely free of charge. You will only be asked to pay for the monthly hosting, which is only $9.95/mo. There are no other fees, and there is absolutely no risk from your end. If you are not satisfied with our work, you will not be asked to pay anything. Please let me know if you would be interested in this offer (in fact, I can't imagine why you wouldn't be). Take a look at http://www.addr.com/free-design for details. When signing-up, please indicate Eva Dale (that's my name :-) ) in the "How did you hear about this offer?" field.
Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!
With Best regards,
Eva Dale
